Just another Crazy week

SHHHHHHHHH.......................
One of the Tye Dyed Chef hats is for a friend who is moving away to take an amazing new job in Wyoming! She'll get her hat tonight at her going away party, so don't tell her!
The yarn that's drying under the hat is from last nights Open Spinning. I'm going to name it Clown Wreck. :) I've been tail spinning a pile of kool-aid dyed Lincoln and Leicester with a bit of Mohair & Firestar thrown in. It's by far my favorite way to spin....so far!
If you haven't made it to Open Spinning it is really a great low stress time. We have about 10 - 15 people at each event. There's always a few people who have never sat down to try spinning before and they have always left with actual YARN! :) SO, don't be shy, come down and give it a try, the Second Thursday of the Month. Next time will be August 11 from 4 - 7, drop by anytime (earlier is better).
The other big event for me this week (also on Thursday) was to teach a day at Kids Jewelry Camp at Crossings at Carnegie here in Zumbrota. There were 2 groups of 14 kids, morning and afternoon. We made Game Tile Pendants and Shrink Paper Rings, they all seemed to have a blast! I bet we could add that here for a fun party class. hmmmmm...have to think about that.
